Dawn Prescott is an award winning visual artist and printmaker who currently lives in Manchester. The process of drawing
and mark making is fundamental to Dawn’s artistic practice as a visual artist. Her most recent body of work involves exploration of the drawn line and its possibilities through the process of monoprint. Much of the work derives from
memory and depicts vivid representations of past, present and imagined interactions with people and place.
Dawn’s professional background and portfolio spans 10 years working as a visual artist and creative facilitator.
Dawn continues to create new works and exhibit regularly across the UK, she also coordinates and delivers printmaking workshops and residencies in hospitals and mental health units across the North West. In 2014 she received two
prestigious design awards for commissioned artworks at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and has had
works selected for exhibit at the Barbara Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield. Dawn is currently a member of Hot Bed Press Printmakers Studio, BREAD Art Collective and Reveal Printmakers.
