An abstract or semi-abstract figure in an imagined landscape is a recurring theme in my work.
It surfaces as an expression of mood, sometimes reflection, or simply in response to places and events.

Much of my work begins in sketchbooks and collages assembled using random materials gathered
in the studio. These images may become buried over the course of time but looking back I often find
a figure appearing in some form.

I enjoy working in a range of print media, from drypoint and etching to a more recent exploration into screen print and mokulito. The result is an eclectic mix rooted in real or imagined feelings and experiences.
